The club is CAMS (Confederation of Australian Motor Sports) affiliated allowing all our members the opportunity to compete in various different CAMS licensed events and tracks throughout Australia. We recently received a plaque from CAMS commemorating 50 years of MMSC CAMS affiliation.

Most of our members have an interest or a back ground in off road or tarmac rally. Many of our members regularly compete in other off road events known as Autocrosses, Khanacrosses, Hillclimbs and Motorkhanas. These events are all time trial based (race the clock singularly) and are hosted by ourselves or other Clubs that have the use of a dedicated CAMS licensed track.

CAMS licensed clubs normally invite each other to their events and are often involved in a competitive championship series that could include just the one type of event, e.g. “The Victorian Motorkhana series” (Compete on various different motorkhana courses around Victoria) or the “Victorian Club Autocross Series” (VCAS), compete on various Autocross and hill climb tracks around Victoria. Competing vehicles vary from standard registered road cars to full on modified rally cars or purpose built buggies. A typical VCAS field may consist of 50 vehicles and 70 drivers (more than one driver can compete in one vehicle).
